The purpose of this document “General Terms and Conditions for Online Ordering” is to governs the rights and obligations of the Seller and the Buyer in connection with the online distribution of AliveIDs with ISIC/ ITIC/IYTC international license.
IDs are sold by ALIVEID Educom Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as ALIVEID India), with its registered office at 103, 1st Floor, Good Earth Business Bay 2, Sector 58, Gurugram, Haryana 122011, GST No: 06AAQCS6330N1Z, registered Companies Act 2013.
IDs purchased through the Website are issued directly by ALIVEID India, not by schools or other institutions.
ALIVEID India issues these GTC for applicants for (Holders of) the following IDs:
AliveID with international license ISIC.
AliveID with international license ITIC.
AliveID with international license IYTC.
These GTC are intended solely for purchases made through an online ordering application for the issue of IDs that is operated by ALIVEID India.
ALIVEID Indiais not required to enter into a contractual relationship with an ID applicant (Holder), unless the necessary information and documents are submitted and other specified terms and conditions are met. Holders must comply with the terms and conditions for the issue of IDs pursuant to Article 5, as the main purpose (essence) of an ID is to identify its Holder in accordance with the specified terms and conditions.
The contractual relationship shall be governed by these GTC and the Rules for the Use of IDs, which are available here https://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use. Prior to entering into a contract, Holders are also required to read the Privacy Policy, which is available here https://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use. All parts of the contract are set out in Article 11. By applying for an ID, Holders declare that they have read all the legal documents before entering into the contractual relationship, understand the provisions thereof and have no questions. Any questions prior to purchase (and any other subsequent requests) will be answered by using the following contact details of the Seller:

It is not possible to purchase a Plastic Card separately - it is always an integral part of an ID, as the Digital ID is the basis of the product. |

The name of the mobile application that is used to display the Digital ID and offers other optional features. |

3. Order and Conclusion of a Purchase Contract
3.1. ID Holder can only be an individual. An ID may be purchased by an individual or legal person; however, the relevant contract is always concluded for the benefit of a specific individual.
3.2. The description of an ID and its features are included in the Ruleshttps://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use. The use of an ID is governed solely by the Rules; by purchasing an ID, the Holder agrees to comply with the Rules. ALIVEID Indiamay unilaterally amend the Rules in accordance with the procedure set out in the Rules. By purchasing an ID, the Holder agrees to the aforementioned provisions.
3.3. Procedure for concluding a purchase contract:
A person interested in becoming an ID Holder may submit their application for a specific ID here https://isic.co.in.
Before placing an order, each person is required to verify their compliance with any and all of the conditions for the issue of an ID pursuant to Article 4 of these GTC, failing which the order may be automatically rejected.
An order shall be placed at the moment an application is duly received. No order shall be binding without confirmation from ALIVEID India. ALIVEID Indiamay reject an order if it does not contain the specified information or attachments. ALIVEID Indiamay also reject an order if it cannot be fulfilled for technical reasons, for reasons on the part of suppliers or other persons. If possible on the part of ALIVEID Indiaand agreed with the Buyer, an order may be processed at a later date, as agreed by and between the parties.
A purchase contract shall be concluded at the moment an order that contains all the necessary information and attachments is confirmed by ALIVEID India.
A purchase contract is confirmed electronically by sending an email delivered to an email address specified by the Buyer.
In the event that an order is incomplete, the contract shall not be concluded until the Buyer has supplied all the necessary information, Personal Data and other documents foreseen by these GTC.
The detailed procedure for each ID is explained in Article 7 of these GTC.
3.3. Subject matter of the concluded purchase contract:
The subject matter of the purchase contract is the purchase of an ID, in line with the preference of the Buyer (who may only choose those IDs that correspond to the Buyer’s status), which is in the form of a Digital ID, with a Plastic Card available as an optional extra.
The subject matter of purchase is digital content, specifically a Digital ID, the function of whichisto identify the Holder. The subject matter of purchase is not the ability to claim discounts or benefits.
In addition to the scope of the concluded purchase contract, an ID (Digital ID) shall also serve – through online confirmation of the Holder’s identification or status - as a tool for utilizing discounts and benefits according to the terms and conditions of ALIVEID India. The provision of discounts and benefits is not the subject matter of the purchase contract. Discounts and benefits are subject to change and the Buyer is required to periodically monitor the Terms and Conditions of Benefits as well as the database of discounts.
When using their IDs, Holders undertake to comply with the Ruleshttps://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use.
The Buyer agrees to pay for the ordered ID, comply with these GTC and the Rules, and ALIVEID Indiaagrees to make the ID (in line with the confirmed order) available to the Buyer within the myValU App upon payment.
The Buyer acknowledges that the Digital ID can only be displayed in the myValU App after the Buyer registers in the myValU App. A Buyer without a mobile device or with a device that cannot download the myValU App has no ability to use the Digital ID. The Buyer acknowledges that the myValU App is operated by ALIVEID India.
The Seller may adjust individual discounts and benefits due to cancellation by their providers or due to other material reasons.
These GTC and other annexes, as foreseen by Article 11, shall form an integral part of the purchase contract. GTS may unilaterally amend individual annexes in accordance with the procedures set out therein.
The subject matter of the purchase contract, i.e. the relevant ID, is accurately depicted when placing an online order, has the standard design of an ISIC /ITIC/IYTC international ID with the AliveID logo and individual parameters. The designs, Rules for the Use of IDs and Cards, as well as other information are publicly available on the website www.isic.co.in. The Buyer has a clear understanding of the design and performance. As a rule, all IDs are non-transferable.
3.4. Information about the functionality of the digital content, including technical protection measures:
The Digital ID represents digital content and, as such, is provided solely to the Buyer.
To ensure full functionality, it is necessary to download the myValU App to a smartphone, tablet or iOS or Android device and activate the myValU App. The Digital ID can only be displayed in the myValU App of the Holder/Buyer. ALIVEID Indiashall not be liable for any malfunction in the absence of sufficient hardware or recommended software.
An Internet connection with sufficient speed is required to download the myValU App; ALIVEID India shall not be liable for any malfunction in case of low Internet connection speed.
100% uninterrupted functionality is not guaranteed; ALIVEID India has the right to perform routine maintenance, which is usually carried out with prior notice. Furthermore, ALIVEID India shall not be liable for server or Internet outages or third party attacks; however, it will always make an effort to fix the problem. ALIVEID India may intervene in connection with unexpected events and suspend the functionality of the content, the myValU App for a limited period of time. ALIVEID Indiamay modify the design, features or system of the myValU App, the Website without prior notice.
ALIVEID India makes every effort to protect the relevant content and has taken the following measures to do so:
Implementation of antivirus software and firewalls;
Security backups;
Internal IT guidelines and staff trainings;
Regular audits of implemented measures;
Data encryption;
Proper security through individualized access with secure passwords;
Automated monitoring;
Behavioral analyses to detect and prevent attacks;
Provision of secure storage sites and proper contracts with storage vendors.
Holders/Buyers are required to protect their access credentials and not to disclose them to third parties; furthermore, they shall not open hyperlinks in messages from unknown senders (or in messages from known senders that seem suspicious at first sight) or download unverified or illegal software, and they shall use antivirus software on their devices and periodically change their passwords and properly update any software.
The Seller is not required to provide updates to the digital content. The Seller shall ensure the Buyer is provided with updates that are necessary for the relevant object to retain the features as set out in these GTC upon receipt and that the Buyer is notified of their availability, namely:
For a period of two years, where the digital content or digital content service is to be provided continuously over a period of time under the purchase contract where agreed that the digital content or digital content service is to be provided for a period of more than two years (throughout that period);
For as long as the Buyer can reasonably expect, where the digital content or digital content service is to be provided on a one-off basis under the purchase contract; this shall be assessed according to the type and purpose of the object, the nature of the digital content or digital content service and taking into account the circumstances at the time of the conclusion of the purchase contract and the nature of the obligation.
The Buyer shall promptly perform all available updates.
In case the Buyer fails to perform an update within a reasonable time, the Buyer shall have no rights under any defect arising solely as a result of the failure to update. This shall not apply if the Buyer has not been advised of the update or the consequences of not performing such update or has performed the update incorrectly due to shortcomings in the instructions. If the digital content or digital content service is to be provided continuously for a specific period of time under the purchase contract and a defect becomes apparent or occurs within the period of time pursuant to subsection vii hereof, such digital content or digital content service shall be deemed to have been provided defectively.
In case the subject of purchase is an object with digital properties and if, according to the purchase contract, the digital content or digital content service is to be provided continuously for a specific period of time, the Buyer may invoke a defect in the digital content or digital content service that becomes apparent or occurs within a period of two years from the date of acceptance. If the performance is to be carried out for a period of more than two years, the Buyer shall have the right under any defect that becomes apparent or occurs within such period. If the Buyer has rightfully invoked a defect with the Seller, the period for invoking defects shall not run for the period, during which the Buyer cannot use the object.
3.14. Simplified purchase:
In case of a repurchase by a Buyer, who used an ID of the given type immediately prior to the purchase and the Buyer is identified through the ALIVEID India systems, it is not necessary to provide certain documents for identification.
4. Purchase Price, Payment Terms, and Methods of Payment
4.1. The price of the ID is provided on https://isic.co.in.
4.2. The price of the Plastic Card is provided on https://isic.co.in.
4.3. The price of postage in case of delivery of the Plastic Card is charged to the Buyer based on the delivery service selected by the Buyer – for more information see Article 9 of these GTC.
4.4. The price shall be due and payable immediately.
4.5. In case a Plastic Card is resent (due to non-delivery, non-acceptance, addressee not identified at the place of delivery, etc.), the postage shall be charged according to the delivery service selected by the Buyer - for more information see Article 9 of these GTC.
4.6. The price shall be payable in advance. Cash on delivery is not possible.
4.7. In the event the Buyer fails to meet the requirement for the issue of the ID, the amount paid will be refunded to the account from which the payment was received at the earliest possible date. If the Buyer’s account is held with a bank abroad, the Buyer shall bear the full cost of refund to that account (the cost of the transfer will be deducted from the refunded amount).
4.8. ALIVEID India does not accept cash or checks; payments made contrary to the agreed provisions may not be traced or may be traced at increased costs which may be charged to the Buyer.
4.9. ALIVEID India reserves the right to require payment in advance or to restrict available methods of payment on a case-by-case basis.
4.10. There are no costs for the use of remote means of communication in the case of online ordering of IDs.
4.11. Methods of payment:
ALIVEID India, through its authorized payment gateway partner Razorpay, offers multiple modes of digital payment for the purchase of its products and services. The following payment methods are accepted, subject to successful authorization and settlement by Razorpay and the respective issuing/payment institutions:
Cards:
Customers may make payments using debit or credit cards issued in India and internationally. The following card networks are accepted:
Visa
Mastercard
RuPay
American Express (Amex)
Process: Upon selecting the “Card” payment method, the Customer shall be required to provide card details, including card number, expiry date, CVV, and any additional factor authentication (OTP/3D Secure/Issuer Authentication) as mandated by the issuing bank and applicable regulatory guidelines. Upon successful authorization, the transaction will be processed, and the Customer shall receive confirmation of payment.
Unified Payments Interface (UPI):
ALIVEID India accepts payments through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) channel as enabled by Razorpay. Payments can be made using UPI ID, QR code, or via third-party UPI applications.
Accepted UPI Applications: As per the list published by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Customers may use UPI-enabled third-party applications, including (but not limited to): PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, Amazon Pay, BHIM, BharatPe, and other NPCI-approved UPI apps. (The updated list of approved third-party applications is available at [NPCI UPI Apps](https://www.npci.org.in/what-we-do/upi/3rd-party-apps)).
Process: Upon selecting “UPI” as the payment method, the Customer shall enter their UPI ID or scan the Razorpay-generated QR code. The Customer will then receive a payment request notification within their UPI application. On authorizing the payment using their UPI PIN, the transaction shall be processed in real-time, subject to successful settlement by the Customer’s bank and UPI platform.
Net Banking:
ALIVEID India accepts Internet Banking payments from a wide range of scheduled commercial banks and payment banks in India.
Accepted Banks include: State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, City Union Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Airtel Payments Bank, Allahabad Bank, Bandhan Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Catholic Syrian Bank, Central Bank of India, DCB Bank, DBS Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Equitas Small Finance Bank, Federal Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, IndusInd Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Union Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Ratnakar Bank, Saraswat Cooperative Bank, South Indian Bank, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore, Syndicate Bank, Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, Vijaya Bank, and Yes Bank.
Process: Upon selecting “Net Banking” as the payment method, the Customer will be redirected to the chosen bank’s secure Internet Banking portal. The Customer shall log in with their Internet Banking credentials and authorize the payment as per the bank’s authentication process (OTP/Password/Token). On confirmation, the transaction will be processed and a payment confirmation will be sent by Razorpay.
Wallets:
ALIVEID India accepts digital wallet payments through Razorpay’s supported wallet partners.
Accepted Wallets include: Amazon Pay, Mobikwik, Airtel Payments Bank Wallet, Ola Money (Wallet + Postpaid), JioMoney, Freecharge, and Bajaj Pay.
Process: Upon selecting “Wallet” as the payment method, the Customer shall be redirected to the respective wallet’s secure interface. The Customer will log in to their wallet account and authorize the payment. In the case of wallet balances, the transaction amount will be debited instantly. In the case of postpaid wallet options, the payment will be processed as per the wallet provider’s terms and conditions.
General Terms Applicable to All Payment Methods
All payments are subject to approval by the issuing bank/wallet/UPI application and settlement by Razorpay.
ISIC India shall not be liable for any transaction failure due to technical errors, insufficient funds, incorrect credentials, downtime of banking/UPI/wallet networks, or any issues attributable to third-party providers.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payment credentials and account details at the time of initiating the transaction.
In case of a failed but debited transaction, the Customer’s issuing bank/UPI/wallet provider shall be responsible for reversing the debited amount in accordance with their policies.
5. Terms and Conditions for Issuing IDs
5.1. The right to receive an ID is subject to the fulfilment of the terms and conditions set out in these GTC.
5.2 The Buyer acknowledges that the terms and conditions for the issue of ISIC, , ITIC and IYTC IDs are defined on the basis of the international rules for the issue of identification cards specified by the ISIC Association and ALIVEID India.
5.3 Exceptions to the aforementioned terms and conditions can only be granted in cases approved in writing and for important reasons discussed with ALIVEID India. There is no established right to an exemption and it can only be granted for compelling reasons.
5.4 By accepting these GTC, the Buyer declares that all the data and information provided are true, complete and accurate and that the Buyer (Holder) meets the terms and conditions for the issue of the ordered ID, as specified below in these GTC.
A Buyer who meets the terms and conditions foreseen by this section shall be entitled to an AliveID with international license ISIC (hereinafter the “AliveID with ISIC”).
A Buyer must be a full-time student at a secondary, higher vocational or higher education institution,
A Buyer shall be eligible to the AliveID with ISIC from the commencement of education, i.e. from the moment such Buyer starts school.
Validity: An ID can only be purchased for the chosen school year until the end of the following calendar year at the latest. Therefore, the validity is always set for 1 year.
In case of minors, for whom it is not possible to check their eligibility to ISIC by checking an identity document confirming the Buyer’s age (identity card / passport), the proof of applicant’s age shall be provided by their legal guardian.
A student certificate, which the Buyer attaches to their order of the AliveID with ISIC, cannot be more than two months old on the date of application. The certificate must contain all the specified particulars, specifically the Buyer’s name and surname, date of birth and place of residence, and especially the part concerning the confirmation of studies (exact name of the school or college, as appropriate, stamp of the school, signature of the competent person or electronic signature, date of issue of the certificate).
All documents and supporting evidence submitted by the Buyer must be legible.
ALIVEID India shall be entitled to additionally request the Buyer to provide the original student certificate from the Buyer’s school.
A Buyer who meets the below terms and conditions shall be entitled to an AliveID with international license ITIC (hereinafter the “AliveID with ITIC”).
A Buyer is a pedagogical or academic employee employed in all types of institutions included in the register of schools and educational establishments of the Ministry of Education.
A Buyer is employed by an institution that complies with the above terms and conditions – either for an indefinite period of time or for a fixed period of time, but not less than 1 year.
Primary and secondary schools - employment relationship: A Buyer is employed as a teacher for at least one school/academic year, whereas the number of hours directly taught by the teacher does not fall below 11 hours per week. The Buyer carries out teaching profession/educational activity as a teacher in a kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, vocational school / vocational training master, special educator - speech therapist, leisure educator in a children and youth center.
Validity: An ID can only be purchased for the chosen school year until the end of the following calendar year at the latest (see AliveID with ISIC). The maximum validity is 12 months.
A certificate, which the Buyer attaches to their order and which is part of the ITIC application form, cannot be more than two months old on the date of application. The certificate must contain all the specified particulars, specifically the Buyer’s name and surname, date of birth and place of residence, and especially the part concerning the certificate of employment and status (exact name of the school, stamp of the school, signature of the competent person, date of issue of the certificate).
All documents and supporting evidence submitted by the Buyer must be legible.
A Buyer who meets the below terms and conditions shall be entitled to an AliveID with international license IYTC (hereinafter the “AliveID with IYTC”).
A Buyer shall only be eligible to the AliveID with IYTC until the Buyer reaches the age of 35 – i.e. until the age of 35, including the date on which the Buyer turns 35 (meaning the Buyer’s 35th birthday).
In case of minors, for whom it is not possible to check their eligibility the AliveID with IYTC by checking an identity document confirming the Buyer’s age (identity card / passport), the proof of applicant’s age shall be provided by their legal guardian.
Validity: 1 year from the date of issue or until the end of the relevant month of the following year, as appropriate.
All documents and supporting evidence submitted by the Buyer must be legible.
6. Verification of the Provided Data, Verification of Eligibility, and Processing of Personal Data
6.1. The Buyer is required to provide only complete, accurate and true information, supporting documents, and Personal Data. Any false information or falsification thereof may be considered a crime and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
6.2. The Buyer undertakes to notify the Seller of any changes in their Personal Data. Similarly, the Buyer is required to report any changes regarding the status under which an ID was issued.
6.3. Any attachments that are sent and documented must be legible and in the specified format and size.
6.4. If necessary, the Seller may verify any information or request additional verification from the Buyer.
6.5. Verification of eligibility to an ID:
The Seller reserves the right to verify the Buyer’s eligibility to the ordered ID according to the terms and conditions defined in Article 5 of these GTC, depending on the type of the ordered ID.
The Buyer’s right to purchase a particular ID is derived from a student status, etc. – based on individual IDs.
The Seller may also carry out retrospective checks and withdraw an ID in case of any incorrect or false statement made by the Buyer.
In the event the Seller identifies any discrepancy, inconsistency between an order and the documents sent and submitted, student status in case of ISIC, pedagogic/academic staff in case of ITIC or any other discrepancy when verifying the Buyer’s eligibility to an ID, the Seller reserves the right not to issue such ID.
In the event the Buyer provides any misleading, false or otherwise misrepresented information that could lead to the unauthorized issue of an ID, the Seller may claim the costs incurred in connection with processing of the relevant order in the amount of the price of the ordered ID.
This Article and the rights and obligations set forth herein shall also apply to Cards.
6.6. Verification / proper identification of the Buyer:
The Buyer acknowledges that an ID serves as an identification card (ID); therefore, ALIVEID India must take extra care in connection with the proper identification of the Buyer as well as the related identity check and verification of accuracy of the data provided by the Buyer, including the corresponding photograph.
Buyers may voluntarily choose between two options for their identification and verification of accuracy:
The Buyer purchases an ID online and comes to a ALIVEID Indiabranch in person (address: 103, 1st Floor, Good Earth Business Bay 2, Sector 58, Gurugram, Haryana 122011), where the Buyer presents their identity card (or another identity document recognized by the ALIVEID India Rules) for the purpose of their identification. In this case, no copy or scan of the identity card is made.
The Buyer purchases an ID online and gives their consent to ALIVEID Indiato verify their identity using a copy (scan) of the Buyer’s identity card. The copy (scan) is made solely by the Buyer. Use of this option is strictly voluntary and based on the Buyer’s consent. In this case, the Buyer agrees to the use of a scan (copy) of their identity card, solely for the purpose of verifying their identity. Verification of identity includes the verification of the photo on the ID against the photo on the identity card, as well as the verification of details of the ID/Card against the details on the identity card. After this verification, ALIVEID Indiawill securely destroy the copy (scan) of the identity card immediately.
7. Detailed procedure for online orders of IDs
7.1. The Buyer undertakes to provide any and all Personal Data and other information truthfully, completely and accurately. The Buyer shall be liable for any damage caused by incorrect information, errors, etc.
7.3. An identified Buyer may only be required to provide the following (depending on the relevant ID type):
Student certificate to order the AliveID with ISIC;
Certificate of employment to order the AliveID with ITIC.
7.3. By entering their email, the Buyer agrees to the “abandoned basket” functionality, which means that ALIVEID Indiawill remind them of the unfinished order 3 times over the next 14 calendar days after the order process is interrupted. The Buyer may refuse this by sending a request to the contact details in accordance with these GTC and/or by using the link in the order reminder email.
7.6 In case the Buyer is not identified according to the provisions of Section 7.2, the detailed ordering procedure shall be as follows:
On the first page of the order form, the Buyer selects “ISIC”. The Buyer fills in their name, surname, contact email address and telephone or mobile number. The buyer then enters their date of birth and specifies theireducational institution, which must be an recognized accredited institution . Subsequently the Buyer uploads a valid proof of student status (such as a student certificate, bonafide letter, admission proof, or enrolment certificate issued by the institution), their photo as well as a valid identity proof (such as Passport, Driving License, or any other government-issued identification document accepted by ALIVEID India). It is necessary to agree to the GTC to complete the order.
If the Applicant is under 6 years, the Buyer (legal representative) first fills in his/her/their following details : name, surname, contact e-mail and telephone or mobile number. Next, the Buyer fills in the Applicant's details: first name, last name, date of birth, e-mail (can be identical to the buyer’s e-mail), telephone or mobile number (can be identical to the buyer’s e-mail). The Buyer then provides the Applicant's specific educational institution. Subsequently, the Buyer uploads a valid proof of student status (such as a student certificate, bonafide letter, admission proof, or enrolment certificate issued by the institution)as well as a photograph of the Applicant. Next, the Buyer uploads his/her/their identity document (ID or travel document) and a personal document of the Applicant (Health Card, ID or passport). In order to complete the order, it is necessary to agree to the GTC.
The Applicant (or Buyer, as applicable) shall have the option to order a Plastic ISIC Card in addition to the Digital ISIC Card, and any additional charges for the issuance and delivery of the physical card, if applicable, shall be borne solely by the Applicant or Buyer.
Once the form is completely filled out, the Buyer must check and confirm everything. Thereafter, the Applicant or Buyer shall select the preferred method of payment as made available by ISIC India for their ID according to Article 4 of these GTC. Once the payment is completed, an email is sent to the Buyer confirming the completed order.
The Buyer may confirm the order without uploading some of the required documents; however, the Buyer undertakes to upload them within 30 days of the order confirmation or the last change to the order, as appropriate.

8. Rights and Obligations of a Buyer who is a Consumer
8.1. The provisions of this Article shall only apply in relation to a Buyer who is also a consumer. A consumer is any person who enters into a contract with or otherwise deals with a business outside the scope of such person’s business activities, outside the scope of their employer’s activities and/or outside the scope of their independent professional activity.
8.2. The provisions relating to digital content are set out in Section 3.13.

8.4. The purchase contract is concluded in English, is stored in electronic form with the Seller and is not publicly accessible.
8.5 The technical steps in connection with the conclusion of the purchase contract are described in Article 7 of these GTC and include the following steps:
Select an ID;
Complete an order in a proper and complete manner;
Read these GTC at any time during or prior to the process;
Check the order and the data entered;
Data may subsequently be modified and any errors may be corrected; a binding confirmation of the order is next and the order is submitted, where appropriate;
Together with the binding confirmation of the order, a consumer must read these GTC and truthfully declare that they have done so by ticking the appropriate box;
Receipt of the order is then confirmed;
The order is subsequently confirmed by the Seller, which leads to the conclusion of the purchase contract.
8.6. The Seller is not bound by any code of conduct in relation to the Buyer.
8.7. Invoking defects: The Seller shall be liable to the consumer for ensuring that the actual conditions of use of IDs correspond to the purchase contract, including these GTC. If this is not the case, the consumer may seek remedy, reasonable discount or withdraw from the contract. The Seller is not required to comply with the request, if the Buyer knew about the defect or failed to notify it without undue delay. Where defective performance is being addressed, the Buyer is required to provide the necessary assistance. The claim shall be resolved without undue delay and in any case within 30 days.
8.9. The contract may be terminated (by withdrawal or termination) solely in the manner specified in this Article and in Article 12 of these GTC.
9. Delivery Terms, Delivery Methods, and Shipping Cost
9.1. The ID and its renewals are delivered exclusively electronically. The Buyer acknowledges that the Digital ID can only be displayed in the myValU App after the Buyer has activated their ISIC App . A Buyer without a mobile device or a device on which the myValU App cannot be downloaded, has no ability to use the Digital ID. The myValU App activation is simple as the Buyer’s personal data are captured by the system to complete the activation process.
9.2. The ordered Digital ID will be made available to the Buyer in the myValU App once all the eligibility conditions relating to the ID have been met and no later than two business days from the date on which the funds, corresponding to the price according to the concluded purchase contract, are credited to the Seller’s bank account.
9.3. The ordered Plastic Card will be delivered to the Buyer within 7 days after the Digital ID is made available in the myValU App and the funds corresponding to the price according to the concluded purchase contract are credited to the Seller’s bank account.
9.4. The Seller shall be responsible for ensuring the functionality of the Digital ID in the myValU App for the entire period of validity of the ID. The Seller may perform routine maintenance as well as maintenance following unexpected situations. The Seller shall not be liable for any outages caused by events described in Section 3.13.
9.5. The Seller shall not be liable for any delivery delays caused by the carrier.
9.6. The Plastic Card can only be delivered within India.
9.7. Delivery methods:
Digital ID – electronic delivery;
Plastic Card – via a shipping company.
The price of delivery to an address amounts to INR 100/-;
10. Liability for Defects, Claims, Warranty, and Claims Policy
10.1. The rights and obligations of the parties with regard to the rights arising from defective performance shall be governed by the relevant generally binding legal.
10.2. The Seller warrants to the Buyer that the ID (goods) is free from defects upon its receipt. In particular, the Seller warrants to the Buyer that, at the time the Buyer accepted the goods:
The goods have the characteristics agreed by and between the parties and, in the absence of such agreement, have the characteristics described by the Seller or the manufacturer or expected by the Buyer in view of the nature of the goods and on the basis of the advertising carried out by them;
The goods are fit for the purpose, for which they are to be used according to the Seller or for which goods of that kind are usually used;
Quality or workmanship of the goods corresponds to the agreed sample or specimen, where quality or workmanship was determined by reference to the agreed sample or specimen;
The goods are of the appropriate quantity, measure or weight; and
The goods comply with regulatory requirements.
10.3. If a defect appears within six months of receipt, the goods shall be deemed to have been defective upon receipt.
10.4. Any rights relating to the liability for defects in the goods shall be asserted against the Seller. The Seller shall send a written confirmation of the claim to the Buyer’s email address immediately after it has been made, stating the time and subject of the claim and the required method of its resolution. The Seller shall inform the Buyer of the resolution of the claim by email to the Buyer’s email address and, where applicable, by telephone.
10.5. This claims policy shall govern claims in respect of any and all IDs purchased online from ALIVEID India.

10.7. The Buyer may only exercise their rights arising from defective performance (claims) in cases, where the performance is defective – i.e. the scope of delivery (performance) is in conflict with the agreed scope of delivery (performance). The Buyer is required to report any defects immediately.
10.8. In no event shall the Seller be liable for any damage/loss caused by death, injury, accident, loss, damage or theft occurring before/during or as a result of the use of the ID, granted discount/benefit or otherwise in connection with the performance of ALIVEID India.
10.9. In case the Seller or its supplier is unable to perform its obligations due to force majeure or other compelling reasons, the Buyer shall not be entitled to any compensation.
10.10. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to, any event beyond the Seller’s control - such as malfunctions, protests, lockouts, lockdowns, floods, earthquakes, sabotages and other unforeseen circumstances.
10.11. The warranty period begins on the date the Digital ID is made available in the myValU App. The goods are covered by warranty throughout the period of validity of the ID. The Seller is responsible for ensuring the functionality of the myValU App and the Digital ID in the myValU App. This shall be without prejudice to the right to restrict continuous functionality pursuant to Article 3 of these GTC. The Buyer is entitled to compensation for the costs necessarily incurred in connection with their claim (e.g. postage costs). The nature of the defect and the Buyer’s contact details must always be provided. The Buyer will be informed about the progress of the claim. A claim report (confirmation of when the Buyer exercised the right, what the claim covers, the method of claim resolution requested by the Buyer, and the date of the claim resolution) is emailed to the Buyer immediately after receipt of the claim.
10.12. The Buyer has the following rights in connection with warranty:
If the defect is capable of being rectified, the Buyer shall be entitled to free, proper and timely removal of the defect, to replacement of the defective goods or defective parts, unless this is disproportionate due to the nature of the defect, and if such a procedure is not possible, the Buyer shall be entitled to claim a reasonable purchase price discount or to withdraw from the purchase contract;
If the defect is not capable of being rectified and if it prevents the proper use of the goods, the Buyer shall be entitled to replacement of the defective goods or to withdraw from the purchase contract, unless the defect was caused by careless handling of the product by the Buyer;
In case of other defects that are not capable of being rectified, where the Buyer does not request replacement of the goods, the Buyer shall be entitled to claim a reasonable purchase price discount or to withdraw from the purchase contract.
10.13. Claims, including the removal of any defects, will be resolved without undue delay and in any case within 30 calendar days from the date of the claim, unless the Seller and the Buyer agree otherwise. The Seller shall issue to the Buyer a confirmation of the date and manner of resolution of the claim, including confirmation of any repairs and the duration of such repairs, or written justification for the rejection of the claim, as appropriate.
10.14. Failure to provide any discounts or benefits that are provided, as a bonus, with individual IDs shall not be grounds for claims or invoking defect in an ID. The discounts and benefits feature is not part of the purchased goods and is provided free of charge, in addition to the issue of IDs. The Buyer acknowledges that they are not entitled to receive a discount/benefit particularly in the following cases:
The provider of the discount/benefit no longer exists, does not carry out the declared activity or cannot carry out the declared activity for objective reasons;
The provider of the discount/benefit is not listed in the database of discounts;
For other material reasons.
10.15. There is no legal right to claim the granted discounts/benefits or any monetary compensation. When utilizing discounts and benefits, the Buyer shall proceed in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Benefits.
11. Content of the Contract, Contract Term, Cancellations, Terminations, and Withdrawals from the Contract, Unilateral Changes to Contractual Documents
11.1. Contract term: The Buyer acknowledges that by ordering an ID the Buyer enters into a “Contract for the Purchase of an ID”, whereas these GTC form an integral part of such contract. The contract is a fixed-term contract concluded for the period of validity of the relevant ID. The period of validity can be found on the Buyer’s ID, in the myValU App, and generally for individual IDs also here.
11.2. Content of the contract: The Contract for the Purchase of an ID consists of the following components: order (accepted and confirmed by ALIVEID India) and the following annexes to the contract that form an integral part thereof:
General Terms and Conditions for Ordering – this document that governs the rights and obligations in connection with purchases of IDs;
Rules for the Use of IDs and Cards – these rules set out obligations in connection with the use of IDs and are available here https://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use;
Terms and Conditions for the Provision of Benefits – you can also use your ID to get various discounts and benefits; however, but there is no legal entitlement in this regard and the aforementioned is not the essence of the purchased product – more information can be found here https://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use;
Privacy Policy – an explanation of how we process personal data is available here https://www.isic.co.in/privacy-policy;
myValU App Terms of Use – in order to use an ID, it is necessary to download the myValU App and agree to the terms and conditions that are available here https://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use;
myValU App Privacy Policy – information on how we work with data within the myValU App can be found here https://www.isic.co.in/privacy-policy;
(Hereinafter collectively also referred to as “annexes to the contract”).
11.3. Cancellation by the Buyer: Even if an order is sent and confirmed, it can still be cancelled before a payment is made by sending an email to info@isic.co.in (to cancel your order, please include your name and surname, order number, date of birth and type of ID ordered).
11.4. Unilateral changes to contractual documents of ALIVEID India: A concluded contract may be amended by agreement of the parties (by agreement of ALIVEID Indiaand the Buyer), but also by changes to the contractual documents that form annexes listed in Section 11.2; these annexes may be amended unilaterally by ALIVEID Indiaas follows:
Annexes may in particular be amended in case of amendments to the applicable legislation, need for an amendment due to technical reasons, due to changes resulting from changes in the product (provision of new features, change of existing features, etc.), and due to other material reasons.
The effectiveness of changes shall only affect newly concluded purchase contracts, unless such changes are notified to the Buyer and the Buyer does not withdraw from the contract within seven days of the notification of the changes on the grounds that the Buyer does not agree with the changes.
ALIVEID Indiawill notify the Buyer of any changes to the annexes and/or any of them by email to the Buyer’s email address.
The Buyer shall not be entitled to a refund of the ID price in case of the Buyer’s withdrawal from the contract due to a unilateral change to the annexes, unless the change implies a restriction of the services directly linked to the use of the ID as an identifying digital ID.
11.5. Termination of the contract by the Buyer: The Buyer may cease to use an ID at their request at any time. Therefore, the Buyer may terminate the contract for the use of an ID, which also contains these GTC, without cause as follows:
The Buyer may send a written notice “Termination of the Contract for the Use of an ID” or another similar notice to the ALIVEID Indiacontact details specified in Article 1 of these GTC.
The notice of termination shall be effective within 30 days of its receipt; however, not before the Plastic Card is returned, without which the termination cannot take effect.
As of the effective date of termination, the option to use the relevant ID as a form of identification expires, together with the possibility to use discounts, perks or benefits that are provided with the ID, as a bonus to the concluded agreement.
In the event the Buyer terminates the contract without cause, the Buyer shall not be entitled to a refund of the purchase price, price of shipping or any other financial consideration.
11.6. Request for cancellation of an ID by the Buyer: The Buyer or Holder (as appropriate) may, at any time, request the termination of the possibility to use their ID (identification card, Digital ID) or to utilize the discounts and benefits that the ID Holder qualifies for upon proving their status. In case of this request, ALIVEID Indiashall proceed in a similar manner as in case of the termination pursuant to Section 11.5 of these GTC.
11.7. Withdrawal from the contract by the Buyer: The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the contract in cases foreseen by the applicable legislation. If the Buyer is a consumer, the Buyer’s withdrawal shall also be governed by Article 8 of these GTC.
11.8. Termination and withdrawal from the contract by ALIVEID India:
ALIVEID Indiais not entitled to terminate the contract without cause by giving notice.
ALIVEID Indiahas the right to withdraw from the contract in cases foreseen by the applicable legislation. A material breach of the contract by the Buyer shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Breach of the contract, its annexes and/or these GTC;
Threat caused to an information system of ALIVEID Indiaby the Buyer or from the Buyer’s equipment;
Failure of the Buyer to comply with the Buyer’s security obligations with respect to the device on which the ID is located;
Violation, abuse or circumvention of the Rules for Use of IDs;
False or misleading statements by the Buyer;
Damage caused by the Buyer to ALIVEID India.
Furthermore, ALIVEID Indiahas the right to withdraw from the contract or cancel an unconfirmed order, as appropriate, in the following cases:
The Buyer has sent an order for an ID to ALIVEID India, but has not paid for the order by the agreed due date and has not remedied the situation within one month of ALIVEID India’s request;
The Buyer has sent an order for an ID to ALIVEID India, but the order is not complete, i.e. it does not contain all mandatory information, personal data and particulars for the issue of the selected ID according to the contract, including annexes thereto, and the Buyer has not remedied the situation within one month of ALIVEID India’s request;
In case an order for an ID is cancelled for one of the aforementioned reasons and payment has been made, the amount of the price will be refunded to the Buyer’s account within two weeks of the cancellation.
In the event ALIVEID Indiawithdraws from the contract for the reasons set out in the provisions of the above subsection ii, the Buyer shall not be entitled to claim a refund of the purchase price.
12. Complaints Procedure, Lost ID
12.1. In the event the Buyer loses or finds an ID, the Buyer is required to follow the Rules https://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use.
12.2. When using an ID, including its security, the Holder undertakes to follow the information in these GTC and the Rules https://www.isic.co.in/terms-of-use without reservation.
12.3. Complaints procedure:
The Buyer has the right to lodge a complaint with the Seller.
The Seller has authorized a person to receive complaints; this person shall receive complaints by email at info@isic.co.in.
The Seller shall always confirm the registration of the complaint electronically.
In case of recurring complaints, the authorized person is responsible for discussing the issue with their supervisor.
The Seller shall handle complaints without undue delay and in any case within 30 calendar days.
The Buyer shall be informed about the way the complaint is handled electronically, always within the period specified in the first sentence of this provision. In case it is necessary for the effective exercise of Buyer’s rights, the Seller shall inform the Buyer about any other rights.
13. Final Provisions
13.1. These GTC do not apply to any sale or issue of IDs other than on the Website by ALIVEID India.
13.2. In case an ID was issued at a school or other organization, the Buyer shall assert their rights and claims with the institution where the ID was purchased or obtained.
13.3. In case of any ambiguity regarding the interpretation or use of an ID, the Buyer shall contact ALIVEID India using the contact details specified in Article 1 of these GTC.
13.4. In other matters that are not expressly agreed, the relationship between the Seller and the Buyer shall be governed by the laws in India. Courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the matter.
13.5. The Buyer shall read these GTC carefully and, in the event the Buyer does not understand any provision, to contact ALIVEID Indiausing the contact details specified in Article 1 of these GTC.
13.6. The Buyer will receive the purchase contract and these GTC by email upon conclusion of the purchase contract.
